The sign shows a beautiful blond dressed in a white blouse and a red skirt. A sudden breeze has caused the back of her skirt to lift up, giving a sneak peek at what she wears beneath it. The leggy blond is wearing a sunhat and grinning cheerfully as she salutes our country. In the background, the U.S. flag waves, and below, the words "American Beauty" appear in gold and navy lettering.

The large metal sign is made with heavy-gauge U.S. steel, which is subjected to intense heat to bake the image in place. Known as sublimation, this technique prevents the image from fading, peeling or flaking off. The sign is pre-drilled and riveted.
