Retro Flying A Service Tin Sign 14 x 14 inches
Starting in the 1930s, Tidewater Petroleum began opening Flying A service stations throughout the country, quickly becoming one of the nation's most successful chains of filling stations. Although these gas stations were rebranded in the 60s and 70s, those who love automotive history still fondly recall the Flying A logo, which is the focal point of the Retro Flying A Service Tin Sign. At the center of the sign, the logo, a large "A" with wings, is printed in white, and the words "Flying Service" are printed in a circle around it. The background is red, and white and black are used as borders for the stylish design.
The Retro Flying A Service Tin Sign is produced in the USA out of real U.S. steel. Very easy to hang, the sign measures 14 inches in diameter and weighs 1 pound. Drilled and riveted, the metal is baked, which causes the pigments to adhere fully to the powder coating of the metal.
