I took a recent house tour had a theme of train and rail signs. It was quite ingenious and you have an abundant choice in choosing this type of wall décor. The owner had a love for “places” she had been. The first sign she chose was one from her home state of Pennsylvania. From there was a sign representing her college town. There was no guesswork as she had the retro signs personalized. Two walls were used in the room and she was proud to give the history of her life that was so beautifully displayed.

The center of life in small towns often is built around these systems of transportation. As the town evolved, new more modern rail was used so the history was often placed on the walls as topics of conversation.

My son had a love for trains when he was young, and we found a great amount of wall décor to place on his walls. He loved red trains, and some of the metal signs used had a background picture that had a landmark of the city where the train went through.

I watched a TV show last night where 2 men travel the country finding junk. Metal or tin wall décor of a vintage or nostalgic memory go for some decent money, but you can find dealers who are experts in this area and even have custom made signs done for a reasonable price.
