Chicago North Western Railroad Lighted Wall Clock 14 x 14 Inches
From 1865 to 1995, the Chicago and North Western Transportation Company operated railway lines throughout the Midwest. Even though the company was absorbed by Union Pacific, railroad history buffs and train lovers still remember the company and recognize its red and black logo. The Retro Chicago North Western Railroad Wall Clock features this logo in bright UV-dried inks against its white face.
The clock makes a wonderful gift and is patterned after the backlit clocks that hung in Chicago and North Western train stations. The lighting in this 14-inch timepiece comes from a 22-watt fluorescent bulb and is controlled by an on-off switch.
Weighing 7 pounds, Retro Chicago North Western Railroad Wall Clock the clock features a durable black ABS plastic case. The front is an optical lexan treated to prevent scratching and discoloration to ensure the longevity of the clock. Three metal rivets hold the lexan in place and can be removed for cleaning and servicing the clock. One AA battery is used to supply power to the timepiece.
