Retro Signal Oil Can Metal Sign 14 x 8 Inches
In 1922, the Signal Oil Company was founded by Samuel B. Mosher, marking the start of a company that would go on to become AlliedSignal, an engineering company that operated through the 1990s. During the 1950s, Signal was the largest oil company in the western United States and its colorful advertising signs were widely known by motorists. The Retro Signal Oil Can Metal Sign was inspired by one of those ads, which were used to sell the company's motor oil at filling stations. The sign shows an old-fashioned stoplight that has been turned to "Go," and the words "With Signal Lubricants" appears beneath it. Two cans of Signal Oil products are featured on the left-hand side of the sign.
Made in America, the Retro Signal Oil Can Metal Sign is manufactured out of American steel and is sublimate to make it more durable than a painted sign. The measurements of the drilled and riveted sign are 14 inches across the width and 8 inches along the height. The sign weighs 1 pound.
